She/her

Yon Mi is an administrator and visual artist based in Hudson, New York. She is dedicated to empowering teams across the arts, nonprofit, agriculture, and community-based sectors to build a sustainable and equitable future.

Her experience spans a range of roles with cultural institutions, including the Whitney Museum of American Art and Socrates Sculpture Park. She loves collaborating with artists, sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm, and cultivating meaningful connections within the communities she serves.

She also has experience working in a fine arts production studio as an archivist and print producer, partnering with contemporary artists to realize artworks for exhibitions in museums and galleries. Her sharp attention to detail and thoughtful, methodical approach allow her to identify possibilities, navigate complex challenges, and develop creative solutions.

Guided by curiosity and a desire to expand her practice beyond the arts, she currently works with agricultural businesses across the Hudson Valley. She sees plants and soil as powerful mediums for cultivating relationships and shared understanding, much like performance and visual art.

She is a first-generation graduate and holds a BFA in Photography from Hunter College.
