State of NYC Dance: Findings from the Dance Industry Census | A Research Performance Event + Community Gathering Event for the Dance Industry

December 2023: Dance/NYC unveiled up-to-date data compiled from the Dance Industry Census and Roundtable Discussion Series. This research performance event and community gathering for the NYC dance industry gave participants and stakeholders from across the field the opportunity to learn more about what the Census found, what it means for the future of the dance industry, and what actions they can take to build a thriving dance ecosystem.

A part of Dance/NYC’s Dance. Workforce. Resilience. (DWR) Initiative, the event was curated by Alejandra Duque Cifuentes. It featured performances by Sydnie L. Mosley Dances and Ladies of Hip Hop, remarks by members of the DWR Advisory Group, and a community meal.
